This for fun Makaton choir gives people with Learning disabilities and others who use Makaton the opportunity to share any songs we have learned, keep Makaton fresh in our minds through use, learning together and growing in confidence.

Some people like to sing, some people like to dance. The aim of the evening is to have fun whilst using Makaton.

OpenMic Nights

Showcasing Ability over Disability

There has been little chance of getting out to enjoy a comedy show, music or dance during the Covid pandemic, so we thought it would be nice to get together and for YOU to showcase your talents!

Be it Poetry, music, dancing, comedy, magic or an art piece you would like to tell us about, we would love to see your talent!

This event is for adults so that people can have a drink & if the odd swear slips out we are not offending young ears.

This event takes place at 8pm UK time on Sat, if you are located in a different part of the world, please check what time it will be where you are so you can come along too :)

You can find more dates and FREE tickets on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/144250393811

Picnic.jpg

Socially distanced picnic

Lowther Castle-Cumbria have kindly allowed us to use their outer grounds for a socially distanced picnic.  Refreshments & food is also available to buy from the grounds.

Why not join us, maybe even bring Teddy?

Lowther Castle & Gardens ask that there are no BBQ's, that we keep the grounds tidy and take away any rubbish with us. (which I'm sure we would all do anyway)

Lowther Castle Is a truly beautiful setting and we are thrilled to be allowed to have our little get together there.  Lockdown has been long and hard with many of us shielding, it will be lovely to be able to breathe in the fresh air and say hello to one another at long last.

For anybody who would like to stay the whole day, Lowther castle has amazing grounds and a fabulous play area that you can pay to access.  It is advised that people book on the website to avoid disappointment: www.LowtherCastle.org

To get to Lowther Castle & Gardens from the A66, at Penrith, follow the A6 south for 3 miles and Follow the signs for Lowther Castle. SatNav-CA10 2HH

You Can find more directions on the Lowther Castle website: https://lowthercastle.org/visiting/directions/
